Today, WIND Mobile announced that it will be presenting two WINDthanks community grants, in celebration of its upcoming network launches in Kingston and Windsor, this November.
The WINDThanks Grants provide $5,000 to support a project that brings a positive change to the people of the community. Both new and existing projects are invited to apply, with applications being judged on their benefit to the region, their innovative and unique qualities as well as the need for the project.
“WIND Mobile believes very strongly in giving back to the community, which is why we’re very pleased to be offering this grant to community projects in both Kingston and Windsor” said Anthony Lacavera, Chairman and CEO of WIND Mobile. “WIND thrives on bringing change to the wireless industry by providing transparent wireless services to customers across Canada. Our WINDthanks grant offers us another channel to bring change to the community as well as to the consumer.”
Organizations and charities in both the Kingston and Windsor regions have two ways to apply for the grant: visiting www.Facebook.com/WINDMobile or by emailing community@WINDMobile.ca. Entries need to outline the name of the organization, name, phone number and email of the contact person and a 300-word project outline that illustrates how the project will benefit the community. Entries for the Kingston grant must be received by October 26th, 2012, while Windsor charities have until November 9th, 2012 to submit their entries.
