WIND Mobile is pleased to announce the addition of 14 new network locations during the month of June. WIND has been dedicated to network expansion and improvement since its launch in 2010 and continuing service upgrades has been an essential part of this.

WIND’s latest network upgrades covers the majority of their markets, with towers across 10 regions. On the West Coast, Alberta has benefited from four new towers this month, including three in Edmonton and one in Calgary. Those in the Vancouver area are also enjoying better network coverage following a new location at Granville Street and Georgia Street West.

Ontario received a number of June’s upgrades. The St. Catharines / Niagara region has two new locations, while towers in Mississauga and Etobicoke have improved coverage along the lakeshore to Toronto. Toronto City Centre has also received two new network towers, providing additional network coverage to Yonge Dundas Square and the Dundas Street West, Dufferin Street area.

Three other markets have benefited from these service upgrades, including Kitchener / Waterloo, Hamilton, and Scarborough.

Ongoing major network improvements, strongly supports the company’s goal to build Canada’s third national network. Over the past 12 months, WIND has already seen the completion of 140 new sites in existing markets, providing even better call quality to current customers in these regions as well as to those customers travelling across country.
